Projects
Featured engineering work
Project highlights across research, CAD, prototyping, and analysis, with direct links where supporting files are available.
Wearable Soft Robotic Assistance for Physical Therapists
Investigated repetitive hand and wrist strain in physical therapy and framed a wearable support system using soft robotics, force sensing, and adaptive assistance.
- Defined clinician strain, care consistency, and clinic-capacity constraints.
- Mapped a soft robotic assistive glove and force-sensing feedback concept.
- Presented stakeholders, interventions, and implementation path in the IMPACT poster.
Pediatric Automated Syringe Prototype
Designed and built a motor-driven syringe pump using a stepper motor, lead screw, Arduino control logic, safety switching, and custom printed parts.
- Modeled the carriage, syringe supports, electronics box, motor mount, and end supports.
- Programmed AccelStepper flow-rate control with 1/16 microstepping and LED states.
- Iterated tolerances, alignment, heat management, and syringe compatibility.
Materials Density Lab Analysis Spreadsheet
Built a structured workbook for raw measurements, density calculations, accepted-value comparisons, percent error, hand checks, and charts.
- Calculated rectangular, cylindrical, and irregular sample densities.
- Compared measured results against accepted densities with source documentation.
- Created chart-ready tables and hand-check calculations for engineering materials.
Custom Phone Case Concept
Designed a custom phone case concept in CAD with a camera cutout, back panel detailing, and integrated geometric branding on the rear face.
- Modeled a slim enclosure with recessed camera geometry and edge-side button cutouts.
- Developed a branded back-face treatment and pocket-like rear feature into the concept.
- Used visualization-oriented CAD views to communicate the form and manufacturing intent.
Balsa Tower Prototype
Built a lightweight truss-style tower prototype using wood members and adhesive assembly, focusing on alignment, bracing, and overall structural stability.
- Assembled a vertically framed tower with repeated cross-braced structural bays.
- Balanced precision, symmetry, and material efficiency during manual fabrication.
- Used physical prototyping to understand load paths, stiffness, and construction tolerances.
Component Modeling and Technical Drawing
Created a mechanical component in CAD and translated it into a dimensioned engineering drawing with hole patterns, section views, and manufacturing-ready callouts.
- Modeled a cylindrical support component with mounting geometry and stepped features.
- Produced a drawing package with critical dimensions, diameters, and through-hole notes.
- Practiced converting a 3D concept into a format suitable for fabrication and review.
